William Diamond Middle School PTA

Welcome to the William Diamond Middle School Parent Teacher Association!

The William Diamond Middle School PTA serves as a forum where parents, teachers, administrators and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods. Our goal is to be a resource for families and the community, to work with and support the administration and staff and to advocate for the well-being of every child.

The Diamond PTA also sponsors educational and enrichment opportunities, such as guest speakers and performers; student clubs and teams including Chess, Diplomacy, Fitness, French Cooking, Guitar, Improv, Magazine Writing, Math; social gatherings and appreciation events for teachers, parents and students; the acquisition of resources and equipment; professional development; back-to-school and graduation events; and scholarship monies.

Our Mission Statement:

The William Diamond Middle School PTA is an elected parent body whose goal is to extend and support locally the goals of the State and National PTA. These goals are:

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship
• To raise the standards of home life
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual health
