William Diamond Middle School PTA

The PTA is excited to announce that we are about HALFWAY towards reaching our goal of skipping the fall fundraiser.  Over 100 Diamond families have donated an extra amount to the PTA this year so far, but we still need more donations if we are to reach our goal.  If you haven’t joined the PTA; if you have already joined and just want to send in a donation, you can drop off a check made out to the Diamond PTA at the Diamond front office or bring it to back to school night.

Remember that the PTA does many things for our school:  we fund afterschool clubs and scholarships for field trips, provide teacher hospitality and teacher grants, and help organize community events like the back to school social.  A pie chart showing where PTA money was spent in 2010-2011 is below – check it out and see where your money goes.  Please help us avoid a fall fundraiser where only a portion of your money goes to our school, and instead just send whatever you might have spent on gift wrap or water bottles directly to the PTA.  We estimate that if every family who is able to sends in $30, we can eliminate at least one of our traditional fundraisers. Every dollar you send in gets us closer to being able to eliminate a fall fundraiser. 

Please send in your donation as soon as possible, and by October 1, 2011 at the latest, so that we can determine whether more fundraising will be needed this year – and join the PTA by October 1 to get your family information into the directory.
