We hope all of you have had a fun-filled summer break. It's sad to see summer vacation come to an end, but it's also exciting to look ahead to a new school year. The PTA has scheduled two events in September which we hope will not only be fun but be the starting point for many good conversations.
Don't miss Diamond's annual Back to School Picnic on Thursday, September 8, 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Come see old friends, make new friends, meet teachers and administrators, and in general have a good time. Bring some dinner for your family but don't worry about dessert - the PTA will bring a cake!
And mark your calendars now for the first PTA meeting of the new school year. We're going to meet on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 pm in the Diamond Library. Come meet your PTA board members and hear from them and from Ms. Carothers about plans for the upcoming year. And if you've got ideas, bring them, too. The PTA board wants to hear from you!
