Be Part of the LHS All Night Graduation Party Community!
Saturday June 3rd & Sunday June 4th
Carnival 2017 represents the 31st LHS All Night Graduation Party (ANGP). Unlike traditional dances, the ANGP offers something for everyone from games, to live entertainment, a DJ and arts and crafts, plus fantastic food all night long. Each year the LHS Field House is transformed into a magical venue based on the senior class chosen theme. With 85 to 90% of the graduating class attending, it’s a memorable way for our graduating seniors to share one final moment together the evening of graduation.
It’s not too early to help carry on LHS’s All Night Graduation Party tradition! In fact, since senior parents cannot chaperone the event, we depend on 8th – 11th grade parents. Come help us decorate Saturday June 3rd or sign up for a party shift on Sunday June 4th (we really need the night Owls and Early Risers for our midnight on shifts during the height of the Party!!!!!) at LexingtonANGP.weebly.com.
For questions about volunteering please contact Georgia Harris at Georgia@harris.name. Otherwise, grab a friend and sign up today.
June 5h, 7:00-9:00 pm (doors open at 6:45 pm)
Free (open only to Diamond Families)
Are you watching kids scroll through life, with rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician & filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that with her own kids. She learned that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. She wondered about the impact of all this time and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time. In SCREENAGERS, Delaney probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
Thanks to the PTA’s generous support, this screening is being offered free to all Diamond families. Parents are encouraged to bring their children along. Seating will be limited. To reserve your tickets please click here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/screenagers-tickets-34747085468
Fall Diamond Parent Social
The Diamond PTA is already looking ahead to next fall…and the parent social. We are looking for parents to host this annual social…it’s a fun (and easy…the Diamond PTA takes care of all the setup, shopping and clean up) way to reconnect with old friends and meet new Diamond families. If you are interested in hosting sometime in early October, please contact Tina Weber (email@example.com).

NEW ENGLAND JUNIORS TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS (DATE CHANGED)
Date: Saturday, June 3rd, 2017
Location: Cormier Youth Center, 40 Whittier Court, Andover, MA, 01810
This is the first USATT sanctioned tournament for juniors in New England. There will be no event fees for this tournament for non-USATT members (If you aren't a member you'll have to pay $20). The tournament format is a big round robin consisting of four groups according to their skill levels. This is so kids can play more matches at their same skill level.
There will be 4 events:
- Group A ( advanced players under 2200 ) 11 am
- Group B ( intermediate players under 1700 ) 11 am
- Group C. ( beginners players under 1300 ) 10 am
