Registration for Summer 2018 is now open – and the January Special, a 35% discount of $600, runs until January 1!* Space is limited – sign up soon! An information session will be held at the high school on Tuesday, December 19 – more information below.
The Lexington Debate Institute is back for a second summer, with a new and improved curriculum synthesized with advice from the Harvard Debate Summer Workshops, Dartmouth Debate Institute, and surveys of last year’s campers. Now offering multiple one- and two-week sessions and both a standard and advanced curriculum, we are committed to helping match your child’s schedule, experience, and comfort level to ensure they have the best debate experience possible this summer.
Sponsored by the Backers of Lexington Debate, which supports the Lexington High School’s debate team, the Institute teaches the foundations of debate to students grades 6-9 interested in learning how to better advocate and research solutions to current issues affecting society. Running weekdays for both one- and two-week sessions in late July and early August and conveniently located at Lexington High School, the Institute is staffed by a qualified faculty of successful and respected debaters who are eager to educate your child about debate. Whether your child decides to pursue debate in high school or delve into other areas of interest, the Institute will help hone their critical thinking, research, and presentation skills in an exciting and educational environment.
Learn more about the Institute at lexdebateinstitute.com. For further information, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 857-302-0240. We will hold an information session about the camp on Tuesday, December 19, from 7-8pm at Lexington High School in the debate room (click for map). Children welcome!
*Though we are competitively priced with other summer debate programs and all net proceeds from the Institute go to our high school’s debate team, we understand some may not be able to afford the Institute. We are piloting a financial aid program for the 2018 session, where students on free/reduced lunch will receive a reduced rate for the summer program. Please contact us if you have further questions on this or anything else.
